This policy explains how we handle personal data when you browse this website or send us a message through the contact form.
Data controller
Nemsitsveridze Law Firm, P. Melikishvili 17, Office 59, Tbilisi, Georgia. Email: beka@nems.ge. Telephone: +995 597 22 28 28.
What we collect
When you submit the consultation form you provide:
- your name
- your email address
- the type of question (area of law)
- the message you choose to write
The website never asks for identity numbers, dates of birth, financial details or other special categories of data. Please do not put anything in the form that you would not want to send over an ordinary channel.
Our hosting server keeps technical request logs — IP address, browser type and time of request — which are needed for security and reliable operation.
Why we process it, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry and arrange a consultation — to carry out your own request and on the basis of your consent;
- To keep the website secure and working correctly — on the basis of our legitimate interest;
- To meet legal obligations, where any arise.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing messages.
Attorney confidentiality
If your enquiry leads to an attorney-client relationship, your information is additionally covered by professional secrecy under the Law of Georgia on Advocates.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no marketing or analytics cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no social-network pixel and no third-party tracking. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, not from an external CDN.
Who else may see your data
We do not sell or trade personal data. Access may be given to:
- our hosting and email providers, strictly for technical service;
- those members of the office who work directly on your matter;
- public authorities, only in the cases and to the extent required by law.
How long we keep it
Messages sent through the contact form are kept for no longer than 12 months after the correspondence ends, unless the enquiry becomes an engagement. In that case, the retention periods set by law for case files apply. Server logs are kept for a short period.
Your rights
Under Georgian law you have the right to:
- be told what data we process about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected or updated;
- ask for your data to be deleted, or its processing restricted;
- withdraw consent you gave earlier, at any time;
- lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Service if you believe your rights have been breached.
To exercise any of these, write to beka@nems.ge. We will respond within the period set by law.
Security
The site is served over encrypted HTTPS, and access to enquiries is limited to people who need it for their work. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
This website is not directed at people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the date shown on this page changes. For significant changes we will try to give notice in advance.
